Old New York is coming back and exploding with graffiti. Film recorded between November 2022 and January 2023 in the area of downtown Manhattan (14th street and below). I was always fascinated with this particular part of the city for its bombing scene. To me it seemed like a meeting point of writers from the borrows and beyond. The objective of this project is to document the bombing scene. It is so quick to come and go, meaning fills don’t stay around for long – either getting ragged, cleaned up or damaged. Observing NYC graffiti for years, my memory recorded many dope throw-ups which i can not even find flicks of today. All that should have been documented. So now we start.
