Remembering Ynot TKO in Ink
the homie Ynot (Rest In Peace) had gotten the same tattoo on his forearm early July when he was out in LA kicking it with the homies. When I got out of Jail in St. Louis I was staying with Ynot, he told me of the 4th of July in Vegas with all the TKO homies and the week he spent in LA at Tloks, where he saw a print of this Fonzy and had to get it tattooed on him. The next day he was at Union Electric Tattoo and Big 5 hooked it up. I was really stoked when I saw how good a job Big 5 did, cause I did a website for him before I got locked up and hadn’t made it in to get tatted by him yet. It was the 23rd of July when I got out and on the 30th Ynot was shot one time in the head and killed walking home from work. He worked at a tattoo shop that was hella hood walked or skated home when he couldn’t get a ride. When he didn’t come home that night I thought nothing of it, I figured one of his girls picked him up and he was staying the night there.
All the homies in St. Louis got some script Ynot had drawn up all drunk one night at Cristo’s. I counted at least 15 of them, including one on myself, the homie from Oakland and the homie staying in Puerto Rico who flew in when he got the news.
Every time I hear someone says “why not” I think of the homie Ynot.
